All students who apply to Franklin & Marshall are
considered for scholarship; therefore, no separate application is required.
We do encourage applicants to submit supplemental materials in
support of consideration for recognition. Students will be notified
of any merit scholarships received upon admission to Franklin &
Marshall. Scholarships include the John Marshall Scholarship, the Presidential Scholarship, and the Dean Scholarship.
Each year the College seeks to enroll more than 500
students of diverse academic talents, extracurricular involvement, and
personal qualities. Every applicant to the College is automatically
considered for a scholarship. Comparative standing within a very competitive
applicant pool, and not a prescribed GPA or standardized test score,
determines who will receive scholarships. Students in the top quarter
of the applicant pool are usually recognized by the Admission Committee
with appropriate levels of merit-based scholarship, regardless of need.
Students who are designated National Merit Finalists and notify the National Merit Scholarship Corporation that Franklin & Marshall College is their first choice institution will receive a $10,000 merit scholarship in addition to any existing merit awards that were originally awarded during the application process.
Of course, the
only way to really experience F&M is to visit. But, since we’re
fairly certain you’re not here now, the next best thing is by taking
advantage of our virtual tour and visit planner. You’ve probably
seen these before, but ours is as cool as they come.
